The hardest thing I've ever physically done...

...was to bring my little man into the world Tuesday night.

Jackson Adam Ziemnik arrived at 7:39pm. He was 9 pounds, 4 ounces. Yep, I grow 'em big. Somehow I made it through with Matt's help and avoided a C-Section, despite Jackson being in a difficult position and being such a big little man. I've never experienced something so surreal and amazing. Ever. Evereverever.

We're finally home and doing well...not sure when I'll be able to update as I'm lucky to get 10 minutes to take a shower here and there. But soon, I promise!

Thanks for all the happy thoughts over the past 10 months. We are so happy right now, and I just love him more every second.

IronMom, signing out! :)

I am convinced that there is no moment on earth like the one where your labor goes from the most intense pain and pressure imaginable (or un) to the most intense euphoria when that little guy whooshes into the world. It is amazing and you did it! Congrats! Take it easy and take each day one at a time-savor

I've been following your adventures since long before your pregnancy, but this season had a special pull for me since I'm first-time-pregnant, too (about a month behind you). I'm so happy for you three, and deeply inspired by your determination and persistence through ups and downs and in-betweens. :) Wishing you the very, very best in this next exciting season!

He's a cutie for sure. Good work, woman! Keep us posted. This is a great time -- it just keeps getting more and more fun as the days and weeks go by.

Congratulations!!!

The good thing about having a big guy like that, actually, two good things: 1) as a first-timer, you don't know any different about how it could have been had he been smaller (my first was 9-6) and 2) it's scarier to take care of a tiny baby. A nine-pounder feels more solid and safe. :-)

Enjoy it!

Don't blink, because just yesterday my hair was as dark and full as Daddy Z's and Superpounce was even smaller. Now, not so much hair, not so black, and Superpounce not so small. Where does the time go?

Ok, this is still a little surreal for me to be saying right now, but I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN!!! My 8-day-old son is sleeping on my lap as I type (he decided to come a wee bit early) because I can't bear to leave him in another room. Amazing, isn't it? Absolutely incredibly unbelievably amazing. Congratulations on Jackson -- he is adorable! Here's to the next adventure, IronMom! :)

Welcome to motherhood - your life will never be the same again. Everything changes once you have children. You will look at EVERYTHING differently, with a new lens. Children bring you such joy, excitement, fear, challenge. You will second guess yourself for the next 18+ years. Trust your instinct and trust your child to teach you what you think you don't know.
