Buzzkill

Yeah.

Um, so much for feeling good and stuff.

Got off the phone with various docs, and it turns out that I have Influenza Type A and most likely H1N1.

(trying not to freak out)

I sort of knew this would happen. All the Lysol and Purell in the world really can't help you with a building full of coughing, sneezy kids. I did the best I could, but it just wasn't good enough I guess.

The good news is that I have caught it early and will be fine. Baby Z will be fine. My fever has broken and hopefully will stay down.

The bad news is that I still can't help being scared. Bad things happen to pregnant women with swine flu. How could I not worry?

I've basically be quarantined to a room upstairs and unable to see my Bug for more than 30 seconds at a time. That's been the worst. I hear him giggling with his Daddy or saying "Mama?" by my room, and it makes me cry. But I can't let him get this, so I have to hide.

Which is hard, 'cuz look at this face:

Tough to do the right thing sometimes - hope you're not contagious soon!

Very good you identified it early, and both you and Baby Z won't be negatively affected.

Sorry you have to hide from the little guy!

Hang in there! I'm sorry to hear that you're sick, but at least you found out early. I'll be thinking of you!

I hope you have a speedy recovery and that your adorable Bug doesn't get it, too. Extra prayers coming your way.

Get well soon! Bust out the photo albums to get you through the next few days until you can hang with the family. Rest is key so if your stressing, your not resting.

Like the great Bob Marley said, "Everything gon be alright!"

When you are done being contagious call me. Maybe I can come over during the day and keep you company during your quarantine.

Sorry about the flu, that sucks! Hope you feel better soon.

By the way, I really like your blog. Found it through Steve in a Speedo. My daughter was born in Oct '07 just like your cute little guy!

I hope you get feeling better soon! H1N1 hit our part of the country pretty hard, it is nasty, hopefully you have seen the worst of it and are on the mend, take care!

I'm so sorry to hear that! This trip to Italy has us both scared about catching it. Matt has been wiping everything down with handiwipes before I touch it and doling out the hand sanitizer as well. Hope you feel better soon and glad they caught it early! It is hard being in the risky demographic...hang in there.
