Ugh.

Okay.

I just cried for, oh, about an hour and a half. And I'M AT HOME.

I started while I was feeding him today, and then I just couldn't stop. He kept smiling at me, and I kept crying. Matt says I'm in big trouble when we take this kid off to college.

Ugh.

Maybe I'll get it all out of my system before tomorrow? Wishful thinking....?

Ugh.

You're going to be fine as soon as you realize that so will he. He's going to sleep half the time you're gone, and be getting his diaper changed the other half of the time. He's not going to forget you, you're not a bad mommy for going back to work. You're teaching him that women can have careers and be mommies. Deep breath sis, everyone goes through this :) After a few weeks it'll be MUCH easier. And you'll STILL be a good mommy then too ;)

As a mother of three --two are in college -- you will never stop crying when you separate. Doesn't matter if it's first day of day care, first day of kindergarten, or first day of college. He will always be your baby. But, being sad to be apart is just a side effect of loving him so much:)

Awwwwww - I did the same thing the day before I had to leave Gabe at daycare for the first time.

Hope things go well tomorrow. You will cry, and it will be hard, but it will get easier.

yes..the day might be tough but it won't be the last time you have to seperate from the little guy.
one day, he'll be a big guy..
there will be other first days as he grows...
our baby (he's 26) is still our baby...
I am sure that I'm still my mom and dads little boy, 54 year old little boy.
good luck

Good luck. It does get easier but I still cried the third time I was done with maternity leave. Everyone survives.

You could always move to Canada: we get a one-year paid maternity leave :)

Thinking about you and hoping the transition wasn't too terrible.
