One of the most frequent questions I get asked, aside from "do you know what it is?" (I usually like to respond, "homo sapien"), is, "So what strange cravings have you had?"
Really. I can't say that I've had ANY strange cravings. There was a bizarre macaroni and cheese thing for about 5 days back around week 13, but other than that...um....I got nuthin'. No pickles. No ice cream, really, which for me is quite a shock.
There are two things I crave more than anything though, but I can't indulge in them. You can't buy them in any store.
They are:
1. A 10 mile run
2. A 3 hour ride
Well, I'm just sayin'.
THAT'S what I'm craving.

I stumbled upon your blog while looking for fellow Triathlon Bloggers. Nice site! I have two of my own little ones and they do change your life, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Congrats to you! My wife never had any real cravings either. Best of luck in your IronMom goal!
I craved peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches and granny smith apples. But i wasn't an ironman...
Soon...it won't be long now.
I had a bad Cheetos craving for awhile around week 12 or so, but since then, nothing for me either! I bought some pickles once because I thought I should. I ate them, and they were good, but I can't call it a craving. I had lots of aversions, though.
I hear ya on craving a long workout! A bunch of my friends went to Steelhead this weekend and all had PR times and I'm sooo jealous!!! I feel like I'm missing the best tri season EVER!
i crave chocolate for you!
I ate with each and every child to make the preggo women of the world feel better I suppose.
Mmmn... Mac & Cheese.
Soon enough you will get those 10 mile runs and 3 hour rides back.
All in due time.
I lurves the mac 'n cheese.
Not too much longer and you'll be pushing baby Z along in that AWESOME Ironman jogger.
As for me, I craved peaunut butter and cream cheese sandwiches....and watermelon. I couldn't get enough watermelon.
hope the shower was fun. Sorry I couldn't make it out!
Same here! No funky food cravings, just lots of wishing I were out on my bike or even (gasp!) running intervals.
Sounds like a couple of great cravings! Has any strangers asked to touch the belly?
you are SUCH a pregnant Ironman.
it's not even funny!
it's all waitin' for you T-tops.
no worries!
Congratulations! That's so exciting but your cravings are a tuff one to solve, maybe do a little bit of both, well walk and ride just a bit at the gym or something.
How about ?? Hours of labor? I hope it's short.
Dark chocolate forever! Then swim, bike, and run!
You'll find that your preggers/mommy/athlete/wife life all blend together in one crazy thrill ride and keeping separate blogs will be tough. That said, can I join the list?
I craved Crunchie bars for a week. Then I just craved my pre-pregnancy jeans, my bike, and Vin Diesel.
LOL - all my wife craves is a glass of Sancerre.
