Over and over again until i improve it. Must be some mental disorder b/c I can be obesses in improving..

accept who i am right now, a sucky swimmer. Here's an image for you, though- we had a lady at masters that came to swim until the morning she gave birth... to triplets! yikes. And yes, I think she was in the slow lane at that point!

JodiJodihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15569509029841348727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19402707.post-49504270239549702752007-04-27T16:11:00.000-05:002007-04-27T16:11:00.000-05:00I'm laughing my head off - only because I did the ...I'm laughing my head off - only because I did the exact same thing and I know how you feel. I swam in the slow lane with a couple of old chicks. I was bawling so hard WHILE swimming that I got snot in my goggles and kept running into the old women. Luckily I was huge at the time and everyone ignored me. Keep your chin up.
PS My weight loss is only impressive 'cause I was a fat ass by the time the Lentil arrived!Jennifer Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14742261433220551931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19402707.post-65361356432034053972007-04-27T14:02:00.000-05:002007-04-27T14:02:00.000-05:00Sara, I am so glad you wrote these down while you ...Sara, I am so glad you wrote these down while you were going through it. Besides no one EVER had it ALL figured out. Where would the fun be in that?LoneStarCrankhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04631352304880151342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19402707.post-63304236621270999862007-04-27T12:05:00.000-05:002007-04-27T12:05:00.000-05:00I was taught the ultimately lesson to NOT go out h...I was taught the ultimately lesson to NOT go out hard while pregnant when I had an abrupted placenta in my third month of my pregnancy with my baby boy WHILE SWIMMING. Two months bed rest healed it but please, chill out and know that there will be plenty of years of IM training. You're only six months away from your big event - you can do six months of power walks and yoga exercises and strengthening for your muscles. To be 29 again...SO many years of hard training ahead of you!Juliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07317985324165071497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19402707.post-88575198890394554162007-04-27T07:41:00.000-05:002007-04-27T07:41:00.000-05:00As TriEric would say, listen to you body. I know that was a VERY bitter pill to swallow at this household. I often heard the question " how could I go from being an athlete to this?"

As for Masters, sorry I missed you there. You will have to give it a try when you are back to normal. I too had a hard time quitting the workouts and racing...until my Dr. told me to stop because I started spotting. Not good. Sometimes being hardheaded and motivated isn't the best thing. My daughter had some health problems when she was born, and I of course blame myself for not quitting hard workouts. When your core temp goes up, it does get dangerous for the baby. You don't want anything to go awry just because you are missing a few workouts/races. Believe me...you will never forgive yourself.
Your time will come back to you...think of him or her right now.
From one who knows...and is not proud of the choices I made at the time.
Fe-lady (Cheryl)Fe-ladyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07986479866903093934noreply@blogger.com
